Convert your product database into a ShopFactory online shop

If the thought of manually entering all your product details from an existing database into a new online shop sounds daunting, the ShopFactory Database Import Wizard is the solution for you. This ShopFactory Add-on allows you to make the most of all the time you have spent in the past to build up your database of products. And it can save you a great deal of time when building your shop.

The ShopFactory Database Import Wizard allows you to import product data from any database with ODBC or OLE-DB Connectivity. There is almost nothing you can not import. It even allows you to automatically create the department and sub-department structure in your shop all in one import step.

Importing is very easy. It is a simple step by step process where you can map your existing data to the ShopFactory field data on products.

The easiest way to start importing larger databases is to run a test import to get used to the add-on and it's features.

• 1. Make sure you have created a blank test shop and previewed it externally in ShopFactory.
• Close ShopFactory.
• Open the import wizard and walk through the steps until you have imported your data.

To do your own import using your products, all you need to do is to prepare your own excel file based on the same structure as in the sample file.

There are differences between Import Wizard light which comes with the Pro version of ShopFactory and the Import Wizard Pro included with ShopFactory Gold...

The ShopFactory Pro Import Wizard can import basic product data from comma delimited data files (CSV, TXT) only. It can not import options and choices or images.

The Import Wizard Pro supplied with ShopFactory Gold can import virtually any field supported by ShopFactory from an existing database, including product options, features, and image paths. Import Wizard Pro can also import data from virtually any database.
